Inspection teams from the Ministry of Energy carried out 10,746 inspections in August 2026 and recorded 847 violations of the Law of Petroleum and Petrochemical Products and the Law on the Distribution of Dry Gas and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) for Residential and Commercial Purposes.
Violations included unlicensed petroleum or petrochemical activity, unlicensed retail sale of LPG cylinders, failure to apply approved gas prices, transporting and selling petroleum products with unlicensed carriers, and using petroleum products for purposes other than those intended.
The ministry said the inspections are meant to improve compliance, secure reliable supplies and curb illegal practices in the market.
