Despite the city's growth and the arrival of modern shopping centres, Prince Fahd bin Sultan Promenade in Tabuk remains one of the region's oldest tourist and commercial destinations, keeping its economic role and continuing to attract visitors.
In the heart of the city, the promenade has more than 320 shops offering a wide range of goods and services. Some have been run by the same families for generations, and the area also hosts seasonal events that boost tourism and trade.
Tabuk Region Municipality redeveloped the promenade at a cost of nearly SAR20 million in partnership with the private sector, upgrading walkways, shopfronts, parking, pavements and pedestrian paths and offering sites for investment. The work made the area more attractive while keeping its historic character and architectural identity.
The promenade shows how older destinations can keep their economic function while adapting to urban change, supporting quality of life and the tourism offer in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
