His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Qassim Region, received the President of the Arab Tourism Organization, Dr. Bandar Al-Fuhaid, at his office today, in the presence of Deputy Governor His Highness Prince Fahd bin Saad bin Faisal bin Saad.

The meeting covered ways to develop the tourism sector, strengthen cooperation in tourism and make use of Qassim's natural, heritage and cultural assets to diversify visitor experiences and make the region more attractive.

The governor stressed the importance of developing tourism and building on the region's comparative and competitive advantages, pointing to Qassim's historical and cultural heritage and its agricultural and rural assets as promising opportunities for new tourism products and investment. He also praised efforts to develop rural, agricultural and heritage tourism that stimulate economic activity and create opportunities for local residents.

Dr. Al-Fuhaid thanked the governor and his deputy for their reception, commended their interest in developing tourism in the region and underlined the importance of closer cooperation in the tourism field.
