Saudi Arabia's tourism offering is broadening fast, from the Red Sea coast in the west to historical and cultural sites, mountain highlands and modern cities, giving visitors choices that combine sea, nature, heritage, culture and entertainment as the number of destinations and experiences grows.

That range was on show as companies and entities from the Saudi tourism sector took part in the WTM Spotlight exhibition in Riyadh from September 8 to 10, 2026. The event brought together travel and tourism leaders, investors and specialists from around the world to look at market trends, tourism products and opportunities for companies and investors.

Participants' offerings showed that Saudi tourism is no longer tied to one season or style of travel. It now covers marine, mountain, cultural, heritage and recreational tourism, as well as events, leisure and hospitality, helped by new destinations and projects that are redrawing the Kingdom's tourism map.

At the "Saudi, Welcome to Arabia" pavilion, these options came together in an overview of destinations across the Kingdom: coasts and islands, mountains, oases and historical sites, along with cities and their events, museums, cultural and entertainment centers, shopping and hospitality.

Such variety helps the sector build more integrated products and programs and gives travel, hospitality and investment companies more room to tailor services to visitors' interests, alongside growing partnerships with international markets and a stronger presence for Saudi destinations at specialized exhibitions.

The sector continues to add destinations, hospitality facilities, products and services, raising the Kingdom's international profile and supporting efforts under Saudi Vision 2030 to turn rising interest into visitor flows, partnerships and new investment. The exhibition, a meeting point for tourism leaders, investors and travel companies from global markets, offered a window on the Kingdom's natural, cultural and entertainment assets and on developments in its hospitality and services, boosting competitiveness and opening wider avenues for partnership, investment and tourism from around the world.
