The Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission yesterday opened the second edition of its printing support initiative, part of its work to develop the Kingdom's publishing and printing market and increase the cultural sector's contribution to the national economy.
The initiative is designed to strengthen Saudi printing houses and publishers, help them grow and compete, and lower the cost of printing inside the Kingdom, while encouraging publishers to print locally and building a sustainable, competitive publishing and printing sector.
According to the commission, the discounted printing services are open to licensed Saudi publishing houses, publishing agents and literary agencies. Publishers need a valid commercial registration and a book publishing licence, while agents and literary agencies need a valid literary agent licence.
