For the fourth year running, Saudi Arabia is the world’s top date exporter by value, with 2025 exports worth SAR1.938 billion, according to International Trade Centre figures. The milestone reflects the sector’s growing share of agricultural GDP under Saudi Vision 2030.
Ahmed Al-Mousa, CEO of the National Center for Palms and Dates, credited the result to the continued support of the Saudi leadership and to coordination between government bodies, private companies and industry partners to improve supply chains and export efficiency.
He said the center’s initiative to enable date exports and open global markets has been a main driver of wider international reach. Saudi dates now go to about 125 countries, reflecting strong demand for their quality, safety standards and variety.
The Kingdom has more than 37 million palm trees across its regions and annual production above 1.9 million tons, securing its place as a global leader in cultivation and output. The center continues to launch programs to upgrade the sector’s value chain and make Saudi dates more competitive in international retail.
