Peter De Roover, President of the Belgian House of Representatives, received Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the Muslim World League (MWL) and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, at the House of Representatives in Brussels.

Their talks focused on strengthening effective dialogue in various fields as a key peaceful means of dealing with international crises that cross borders. They stressed the importance of the MWL’s preventive religious diplomacy and the influence religious institutions worldwide can have in defusing conflicts before they break out and in promoting dialogue and joint work on common ground that serves global peace and social harmony.

De Roover praised Dr. Al-Issa’s international efforts on behalf of the MWL and the Organization of Muslim Scholars and commended the League’s leading role in fostering understanding and mutual respect to support peaceful coexistence and trust between communities.
