The Ministry of Interior's General Administration of Medical Services says the Cabinet's approval of its membership of the International Hospital Federation (IHF) is a strategic step for its healthcare system.
According to the administration, joining the federation confirms its place among leading healthcare institutions, raises the Kingdom's profile in global healthcare, helps it keep pace with international developments and supports the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
It said the move builds on the leadership's strong attention to developing healthcare and improving quality of life, with the support and follow-up of Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, and will further improve the efficiency of the ministry's health services, which it described as a leading national model.
Membership, the administration added, opens wide opportunities to work with top healthcare institutions worldwide, exchange expertise and draw on global best practice in hospital management, institutional excellence, innovation, quality and safety of care, and health leadership.
