Saudi Aramco is taking part in the 2026 annual national blood donation campaign launched by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, as part of its community service and its efforts to promote volunteering.
To encourage employees to give blood, the company has set aside several donation sites inside its facilities. It says its continued involvement is meant to support national health security and ensure reliable blood supplies for patients and emergencies.
The company's role in blood donation dates back to the 1960s, when it established the first blood banks in the region. Its blood bank in Dhahran received international accreditation from the American Association of Blood Banks in 1978.
Bringing its various efforts together under an annual company-wide campaign has widened partnerships with blood banks and other bodies. Since 2023, 29,337 donors have taken part in 457 blood drives supported by the company in different regions of the Kingdom.
Aramco also works with the Ithar Organ Donation Society in the Eastern Province, supporting the blood drives it organises and raising awareness about donation under the company's message, 'A drop from you... a life for someone else.'
