VAT-registered businesses in Saudi Arabia have until 31 October 2026 to file their latest returns, the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) said. Companies with annual taxable supplies of goods and services above SAR 40 million must file for September, while those with supplies of SAR 40 million or less file for the third quarter of 2026.

The authority encouraged businesses to file and pay early via its ZATCA smartphone app, warning that late filing carries a fine of at least 5% and up to 25% of the tax that should have been declared.

Taxpayers with questions can call the unified contact centre on 19993, available around the clock every day of the week, message the "Ask Zakat, Tax and Customs" account (@Zatca_Care) on X, email info@zatca.gov.sa or use the live chat on the authority's website.

Value-added tax, one of the tax systems in force in the Kingdom, is an indirect tax levied on goods and services bought and sold by businesses, with some exemptions.
