His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior, visited the Facilities Security Forces Command in Riyadh on Tuesday to review its work and opened several new centres and services.
Among them is a command and control and security drone systems centre with seven specialised units. It is connected to 13 command and control centres at the forces' branches around the Kingdom and runs on advanced electronic platforms for receiving reports, directing and tracking field operations and sharing security information, working alongside the National Center for Security Operations. Its AI-equipped drones support field surveillance.
Prince Abdulaziz also opened a cybersecurity centre tasked with protecting data, securing networks and devices, monitoring systems for vulnerabilities and fixing them, and detecting and responding to cyber threats.
He launched services for the forces' personnel on the Absher Interior app, built with the ministry's unified development centre for technology affairs, and was briefed on upgraded systems, including links between the Mawared system, the Absher platform and the Nafath national single sign-on platform through secure interfaces.
Attending were His Highness Prince Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Ayyaf, Acting Deputy Minister of Interior; Assistant Minister of Interior for Operations Mohammed bin Muhanna Al-Muhanna; and Maj. Gen. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al-Arwan, Director General of the Minister of Interior's Office for Studies and Research.
