A group of 250 men and women from 21 countries in Asia and Oceania began leaving Makkah for home today, having performed Umrah and visited the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah. They made up the fourth group hosted this year, 1448 AH, under the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Umrah and Visit Program, which is run by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance.
In Madinah, the guests prayed at the Prophet's Mosque, offered greetings to the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, and his two companions, and prayed in Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifah. Their itinerary also took in Quba Mosque, Mount Uhud and the cemetery of the Uhud martyrs, the King Fahd Glorious Quran Printing Complex, and the International Exhibition and Museum of the Prophet's Biography and Islamic Civilization.
In Makkah, besides completing their Umrah, they saw how the Kiswa, the cloth that covers the Holy Kaaba, is made at the King Abdulaziz Complex for the Holy Kaaba Kiswa, toured the Revelation Exhibition and joined awareness programmes and cultural activities about the Kingdom's care for the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors.
Before leaving, the guests thanked their hosts for the welcome and hospitality they received throughout their stay. They expressed their gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for their care for Islam, Muslims and pilgrims, and praised the ministry for the services and support provided from arrival to departure.
