Jazan will host "Shashatna" (Our Screen) on Friday and Saturday, October 23 and 24, a cultural event that brings together creatives and filmmakers and screens Saudi short films for audiences of all ages and backgrounds. It is organised by the Jazan Strategic Development Office in partnership with the Cinema Association and the House of Culture in the region.

The programme includes meetings with creatives and filmmakers from Jazan, panel discussions and master classes with Saudi filmmakers who will share their creative experience with the audience. Participants will also discuss future plans for developing the infrastructure of the film sector.

The organisers said the event aims to enrich the cinema and cultural scene in the region, offer a platform for dialogue and the exchange of expertise, encourage artistic expression and give promising film talent a chance to present their work and connect with professionals, combining viewing with discussion and learning.
