The sixth edition of the Saudi Media Forum will be held in Riyadh from 1 to 3 February 2027 under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, forum president Mohammed bin Fahad Al-Harthi announced at a reception on the sidelines of MIPCOM in Cannes, France. Representatives of international companies, leading producers and media executives attended.
Al-Harthi said the Kingdom has significant capabilities, wise leadership, solid institutions and a clear vision for the future, which strengthen its ability to handle crises and challenges of every level and complexity. Rather than only managing challenges, he said, Saudi Arabia turns them into opportunities and pursues its development project with confidence.
He added that the forum is evolving into a sustainable international platform beyond an annual conference, bringing together media organisations, companies, investors, creatives and entrepreneurs to build partnerships, share knowledge and attract investment.
The coming edition will host more than 300 international speakers, experts and media professionals and over 150 sessions and workshops on digital transformation, sustainability and media talent development. It will be accompanied by the Future of Media Exhibition (FOMEX), with more than 250 local and international companies and channels taking part.
The forum also announced the third edition of its Media Innovation Camp, focused on innovative media solutions using new technologies such as artificial intelligence, and launched the Production Market within FOMEX. The market will link content makers with buyers, producers and decision-makers, showcasing ready-to-distribute content, broadcast rights, projects in development and co-production opportunities, with a dedicated buyer programme and pre-arranged business meetings.
