His Royal Highness Prince Fahd bin Mohammed bin Saad bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Kharj, today launched the seasonal influenza vaccination campaign at his office. The campaign is open to both citizens and residents of the governorate.
Fahd bin Mohammed Al-Mamkhour, executive director of the Al-Kharj health sector, thanked the governor for his support and said the campaign is organised by Riyadh First Health Cluster through King Khalid Hospital in Al-Kharj, as part of efforts to protect public health and raise awareness of preventing seasonal illnesses.
He said the flu vaccine is one of the most important preventive measures for limiting complications from the virus, especially among those most at risk, such as children, older people and people with chronic diseases.
All health facilities in the governorate are ready to vaccinate those who book an appointment through the Sehhaty app, he added. Field teams will also run vaccination drives in public places and government offices to reach residents across all of the governorate's districts and centres.
