His Royal Highness Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Falih Al-Zaidi at the Royal Court in Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh, where the two sides reviewed developments in the region and how to coordinate their efforts to strengthen its security and stability.
During the meeting, Al-Zaidi conveyed his government's strong condemnation of the attack on King Khalid International Airport and of the strikes on civilian and vital sites in the Kingdom, calling them a threat to regional security and stability.
The Iraqi prime minister said Baghdad stands firm in refusing to allow Iraqi territory to serve as a launchpad for any attack or act that harms the security of Saudi Arabia or other countries in the region, and that his government is committed to good-neighbourliness and to respecting the sovereignty of the Kingdom and other brotherly states.
The talks also covered Saudi-Iraqi relations. The Crown Prince stressed the Kingdom's keenness to expand cooperation between the two countries across all fields, especially closer security coordination.
