Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region, today received a report on the sixth edition of the pepper festival in Shaqra Governorate, which took place last July.

He was presented with the report at Al Hokm Palace during a meeting, attended by Deputy Governor Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, with Shaqra Governor Adel bin Abdullah Al-Bawardi and a number of the festival's supporters and participants. He was also briefed on the work of the governorate and its centres.

The report reviews the festival's main events and programmes and its efforts to promote and market the crop the governorate is known for, and to encourage farmers to develop their production and raise its quality.

The Riyadh governor praised the work behind the festival and stressed the importance of joint efforts to meet the governorate's development goals and showcase its agricultural and economic strengths.

The Shaqra governor thanked the regional governor for his patronage of the festival and his deputy for his support, saying it reflected the leadership's interest in boosting local production across the Kingdom.
