The 2027 AFC Asian Cup finals, due to be staged in Saudi Arabia, could be delayed by a full year to 2028, Asian Football Confederation president Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa has said, according to Asharq Al-Awsat.

The AFC chief added that the confederation would not hurry its decision on the tournament's timing, the newspaper reported.
