The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture office in Al-Hanakiyah Governorate has carried out more than 15 volunteer initiatives as part of its participation in the third Camel Auction and Festival in the Madinah Region. The festival opened on 8 October under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Madinah Region, with camel owners and heritage enthusiasts taking part.

The initiatives included tree planting, organising the grounds and handing out seedlings to visitors, adding up to 80 volunteer hours, with the aim of boosting community participation and raising environmental and agricultural awareness. The office also distributed guidance leaflets at the ministry's pavilion and offered advice and awareness services to camel breeders and visitors.

The office is continuing its field visits to camel owners to explain the main diseases affecting camels, how to prevent them and sound health practices in their care. It is also holding awareness workshops at the auction site to familiarise breeders with good agricultural and environmental practices.
