Point-of-sale transactions in Saudi Arabia totalled SR13.53 billion in the week from October 4 to 10, 2026, according to Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) figures reported by Al Riyadh newspaper. The number of transactions came to about 253.36 million.

Riyadh topped the cities with SR4.82 billion across 85.71 million transactions, followed by Jeddah with SR1.80 billion from 28.24 million transactions, and Dammam with SR680 million from 10.15 million transactions.

By sector, restaurants and cafes led in the number of transactions at 61.18 million, worth SR1.71 billion, ahead of food and beverages with 59.65 million transactions worth SR2.30 billion.
