Ten films backed by the Red Sea Film Foundation are taking part in the 31st Busan International Film Festival, running in Korea from October 6 to 15, 2026 — the foundation's largest presence at the festival to date.
Alongside the festival, Red Sea Film Labs held a talk in its “Inspire” series at the Seoul stop of its Feature Films Program, focusing on how cinematography shapes a film's visual identity and strengthens the story it tells.
Speakers explored the creative partnership between cinematographer and director, and how images can convey story and character to give each film its own visual language. The session also drew on professional experience from Korean cinematography, using well-known works to show how visual composition serves dramatic structure.
The event is part of the Labs' work to share expertise, build filmmakers' skills and deepen ties with international film professionals.
