Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has raised the toll from Sunday’s attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh to one dead, a Pakistani resident, and 11 wounded, Saudi Gazette reported. All of the wounded were taken straight to hospital for treatment, the authority said.
Working with the agencies concerned, officials are still surveying the physical damage and checking that the airport’s facilities are safe, GACA added. The revised figures came after the authority had earlier reported new attacks aimed at the airport.
