Saudi Arabia's national beach soccer team stepped up its preparations for the continental championship with a 4-2 friendly win over Bahrain in the evening, the second meeting between the two sides, played at the Bahrain Football Association's beach soccer ground.

Qasem Dibaji, Waleed Al-Youbi, Khalid Waheeb and Ahmed Al-Hamami each scored once for the Saudi side.

The team's Brazilian head coach used the match to give minutes to most of his squad, making several substitutions, rotating players and testing more than one style of play to assess their technical and physical readiness.

The friendly is part of a training camp in Bahrain that runs until October 12, ahead of the 2026 Beach Soccer Asian Cup, which serves as the qualifying tournament for the 2027 World Cup.

Saudi Arabia was drawn in Group C of the Asian Cup alongside Oman, the UAE and Uzbekistan.
