A new museum dedicated to the history of education has opened in Al-Aqiq governorate in Saudi Arabia's Al-Baha region. The Al-Baha Educational Museum, inaugurated yesterday, brings together artefacts and documents tracing how education developed across different eras.

The museum features a corner honouring pioneers of public education and their contribution to the field. Its collection includes books dating from between 1371 AH and 1442 AH, along with a range of books, magazines and newspapers, among them first issues that document the beginnings of the press and publishing.

Visitors will also find sections devoted to school records, certificates and teaching aids, as well as a model classroom that recreates the learning environment of the past and shows how it has evolved into its modern form.
