Riyadh Municipality has finished its preparations for Saudi National Day under a field plan covering the capital as well as the region's cities and governorates, with a varied programme of events.
More than 12,000 flags now decorate streets and squares in Riyadh city, and over 53,000 more have been raised in the region's cities and governorates, for a total exceeding 65,000. They line major roads and bridges and surround public buildings and squares.
In the capital, the municipality has prepared five main sites and 12 community sites run through My City (Madinaty) offices in its various sectors, while 47 municipalities across the region have completed their own arrangements to receive residents and visitors.
The municipality said the preparations aim to create a festive environment, encourage public participation and support its goal of a vibrant community and a prosperous, sustainable Riyadh with a better quality of life.
