The National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification (NCVC) will represent Saudi Arabia at the 28th Session of the Committee on Forestry (COFO28), organized by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Rome from September 28 to October 2, 2026.

The session runs alongside the 10th World Forest Week, held under the theme "Forests for Food, Resilience and Prosperity."

The Kingdom will share its approaches and experience in sustainable forest management and ecosystem restoration, aimed at making ecosystems more efficient and resilient, reflecting its active role in regional and international forestry forums and global dialogue on the subject.

The participation comes as Saudi Arabia chairs the 26th Session of the Near East Forestry and Range Commission (NEFRC) from September 2025 to August 2027.
