Saudi National Day festivities have spread across Riyadh's varied urban landscape, taking in heritage landmarks, natural spaces, modern facades and busy entertainment venues.
Squares, cultural sites and attractions throughout the capital opened their doors to residents and visitors in an atmosphere of national pride, together painting a picture of a city where history, geographic variety and contemporary architecture meet to define its identity.
In Diriyah, the past is brought to life through events, shows and heritage experiences, with the celebrations stretching into Wadi Hanifa, whose open terrain blends history, wide landscapes and festive spirit.
Elsewhere, the towers and geometric designs of the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) dominate the scene, and King Fahd Road runs past landmarks such as the Kingdom Centre Tower. Flags, lit-up building fronts and patriotic displays set against this modern skyline give the city's streets a festive character.
The celebrations are not confined to one location: public spaces, entertainment venues and outdoor areas across Riyadh are hosting performances, activities and experiences, while flags and festive decorations in streets and squares offer a shared expression of national identity.
