Participants at the 46th King Abdulaziz International Competition for Memorizing, Reciting and Interpreting the Holy Quran in Makkah are being helped by interactive robots and artificial intelligence deployed by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance.

The mobile robots carry interactive touchscreens that show competition schedules, venue locations and service information, and they can answer questions in more than 90 languages, saving participants time and effort.

The ministry says the step shows its commitment to using modern technology to improve services for participants from around the world and to strengthen the competition's status as a global meeting of Quran memorisers.
