Residents of Arar in Northern Borders Region saw a deep partial lunar eclipse at dawn today, coinciding with the full moon of Rabi Al-Awwal 1448 AH.

The eclipse became clearly visible when the moon entered Earth's umbra at 5:33 a.m. and could be followed until the moon set at 5:49 a.m.

Adnan Khalifa, a member of the astronomy and space club, said about 93% of the moon's disk was in Earth's shadow at the global peak. The eclipse lasted more than three hours worldwide and was visible across parts of the Americas, Europe and Africa.
