Al-Ardah Governorate in eastern Jazan Region remains a year-round draw for residents and visitors with its mountains, valleys, forests, parks and viewpoints, and the current rainy season has made its highlands even more attractive.
One of the area's best-known mountain landmarks is Al-Ardah Overlook, set up in 1431 AH. The site covers 288,000 square meters, cost SAR5 million to build and offers sweeping views over the governorate and several of its villages and centers.
Jazan Region Municipality, through Al-Ardah Governorate, is now carrying out rehabilitation and development work at the overlook to enhance its tourism and leisure features and upgrade facilities as demand for mountain destinations grows.
