The General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) has launched a National Knowledge Competition as part of its "Road to Riyadh" events ahead of the sixth United Nations World Data Forum 2026, which Saudi Arabia hosts in November.

The competition aims to raise public awareness of the value of data and statistics and widen participation in the forum's side events. Ten winners will be invited to attend the forum in Riyadh, where academics, experts, decision-makers, international organizations, government bodies and private companies will discuss the latest global trends in data.

Participants answer six knowledge questions in an interactive format that takes 10 minutes. The quiz is open from September 13 to 17, and GASTAT has urged those interested to follow its social media accounts and website for updates.
