The week opens on October 11 with the 17th International Energy Forum Ministerial Meeting (IEF17), where ministers, industry leaders and heads of international bodies will discuss energy security, market stability, investment and cooperation between producers and consumers. From October 11 to 13, the ministry also hosts the 17th Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM17) and the 11th Mission Innovation Ministerial (MI-11), focused on speeding up the development and deployment of energy technologies and moving innovation into large-scale use. The 16th Session of the Arab Ministerial Council for Electricity will also meet, alongside specialized Arab meetings, workshops and events on regional cooperation, investment and advanced technology.
The centerpiece is the 25th WPC Energy Congress, themed “Pathways to an Energy Future for All,” which will bring policymakers, industry leaders, investors and technology executives together on security and reliability of supply, global markets and investment, technological innovation, sustainability and workforce development.
The wider program includes activities for youth and young professionals, women in energy, innovation and entrepreneurship, sessions on AI and digitalization, emerging technologies and talent, as well as technical forums, workshops, innovation challenges and an international exhibition where specialists and entrepreneurs can engage directly with industry leaders.
The ministry said the gatherings come as closer global cooperation in energy becomes increasingly important, and that hosting them underscores the Kingdom’s role as a global hub for energy dialogue, innovation, knowledge exchange and partnerships.
