Pakistan has strongly condemned the Houthi militia’s attack on the Taibah electricity distribution station in Madinah and reaffirmed its firm solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for the Kingdom’s security, sovereignty and territorial integrity.

In a statement today, the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs said targeting a civilian facility that supplies power to the Prophet’s Mosque is a dangerous provocation that deeply distresses Muslims worldwide. It stressed that the sanctity of the Two Holy Mosques must be respected in all circumstances to ensure the safety of worshippers, pilgrims and visitors.

Pakistan called for an immediate and unconditional end to hostile acts that undermine regional peace and stability, and said it stands firmly with the Kingdom in defending its people, holy sites and sovereignty and will keep supporting efforts toward lasting security in the region.
