The General Directorate of Passports issued 25,310 administrative decisions during the month of Muharram 1448 AH against citizens and residents found to have violated residency, labour and border security regulations, SPA reported. The decisions were issued through administrative committees at passport departments in the Kingdom's regions.

Penalties ranged from imprisonment and fines to deportation, the directorate said.

It reminded all citizens and residents, whether business owners or individuals, not to transport, employ or shelter violators, not to cover up for them, and not to help them in any way to find work, accommodation or transport.

The directorate urged the public to report violations by calling 911 in the Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh and Eastern Province regions, and 999 in the rest of the Kingdom. All reports are treated in complete confidentiality, and the person reporting bears no liability.

The reminder is particularly relevant for employers and residents who hire workers or provide accommodation, as they are directly addressed by the directorate's warning.
