The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance has stepped up preparations at Al-Khayf Mosque in Mina to welcome pilgrims on the Day of Tarwiyah in the 1447 AH Hajj season, with technical, operational and religious guidance services in place.

One of the best-known mosques in the holy sites, Al-Khayf has a built-up area of 23,500 square meters and more than 27,000 square meters of carpeted space. It is cooled by 410 units controlled by smart climate systems.

The ministry has installed 54 high-capacity chilled water dispensers, each producing 500 liters an hour, enough to serve more than 81,000 pilgrims an hour, and has set up phone charging stations across the site.

Seventy-nine digital screens show awareness and guidance messages in several languages. Security is supported by more than 50 advanced surveillance cameras, and nine main entrances and six emergency exits have been designated to keep crowds moving smoothly and safely.
