Hajj security forces at the entrances to Makkah caught five expatriates and five citizens transporting 34 people who did not have permits to perform Hajj, in breach of Hajj regulations, the Ministry of Interior said.

Seasonal administrative committees issued decisions against the offenders, with fines of up to SAR100,000 for the transporters and anyone involved, along with imprisonment and public naming.

The people being transported were fined up to SAR20,000 each for trying to perform Hajj without permits.

After serving their sentences, the expatriates will be deported and banned from the Kingdom for 10 years. The ministry has also asked for the vehicles used to be legally confiscated.
