Work is continuing on developing the first-year land schemes of the Real Estate Balance Program in Riyadh, with sites seeing preparatory works as part of the infrastructure phase, the Saudi Press Agency reported. The works cover road, water, sewage, electricity and telecommunications networks, as well as public spaces and parks, in line with approved planning and technical standards.
The development is part of the programme's implementation phases, which aim to provide planned and serviced residential land, increase housing supply, narrow the gap between supply and demand, and support balance in Riyadh's real estate sector.
In the programme's first year, 10,024 residential plots were allocated to beneficiaries through an electronic lottery. The plots have a total area of 6,380,600 square metres and are spread across several locations in Riyadh chosen to fit with the city's urban fabric and development goals.
Work at the sites is proceeding according to approved timetables, alongside completion of the procedures for first-year beneficiaries, until the land is fully developed and ready to approved urban standards.
