On King Fahd Road, the Qassim-Madinah Expressway, Al-Khabra Boulevard has become both an attractive stop for travelers and a marketplace for the region's agricultural, handicraft and heritage products.
The project spans about 50,000 square meters with around 160 shops and 40 kiosks, hosting commercial activity, festivals and seasonal events and giving startups and home-based family businesses a route to a wide range of customers.
By mixing trade with tourism and entertainment, the boulevard stimulates the local economy and supports farmers, productive families and entrepreneurs, and raises the profile of local products, especially dates.
Its design draws on Najdi identity and local architecture, with areas for products, food, handicrafts and entertainment that add a heritage and cultural dimension.
The project is seen as a model for using sites along major roads to support the local economy, market agricultural and heritage goods and boost tourism in the region.
