A liquefied natural gas (LNG) tanker came under fire from a small boat carrying seven people, which fired two rounds toward the vessel 140 nautical miles southeast of the Yemeni city of Mukalla, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said.

The armed security team on board the tanker responded with two warning shots, forcing the boat to change course and move away, UKMTO said. The report did not say who the boat belonged to.
