The Saudi Contractors Authority, together with the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises (Monshaat), has opened registration for the sixth edition of Be a Contractor, its programme to develop national talent in the contracting sector, in Riyadh. The aim is to help Saudi professionals understand the sector's opportunities, career paths and requirements.
The programme offers a mix of knowledge and practice for those who want to enter contracting, covering the sector's environment and opportunities, how to set up and run a business, project challenges, and management, finance and marketing skills, with input from specialists and practitioners.
The first phase runs remotely from November 8 to 19, 2026, and covers operational planning, business plans, feasibility studies, human resources management, accounting for non-accountants and marketing for start-ups.
The second phase takes place in person in Riyadh from November 22 to December 14, 2026, from 5 pm to 10 pm. It includes direct meetings with industry experts and hands-on activities linking training to real project work.
Sessions are led by experienced contracting and project management specialists, with specialised topics from the authority's academy, including construction project management, occupational health and safety, and budget planning and cost control.
