Saudi Arabia's under-16 national team began training today for the 2026 U-17 Gulf Cup, hosted by Qatar, with the tournament running until 4 November.

The opening session was led by Portuguese coach Tiago Farinha and his assistant staff. Players worked on fitness before moving on to a varied tactical session.

The Green Falcons have named a 23-player squad for the tournament. Training resumes on Friday evening as the team prepares for Saturday's match against Egypt, the opening game for both sides.

Saudi Arabia head Group B of the 2026 U-17 Gulf Cup, which also includes Iraq, Kuwait, Yemen and Egypt.
