Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources issued 438 new industrial licences in July 2026, and 189 factories began actual production during the same month, according to a report by the ministry's National Industrial and Mining Information Center.
Ministry spokesman Jarrah bin Mohammed Al-Jarrah said investment linked to the new licences totals about SAR 4.82 billion, and the projects are expected to create more than 3,708 jobs across the Kingdom's regions.
He added that the factories that started production in July represent investment of SAR 1.95 billion and have created 2,807 new jobs, reflecting the continued expansion of the Kingdom's industrial base and the faster pace at which plants are entering operation.
The ministry publishes these indicators regularly through the centre to track industrial activity, including new investment, licences issued and factories starting production, as part of its commitment to transparency.
