Saudi trainees will receive 12 months of preparation in logistics and supply chains under a training agreement signed by the Saudi Logistics Academy and Lucid as part of the academy's employment-linked associate diploma programme.

The programme combines academic study, practical application and on-the-job training to equip trainees for work in logistics operations, warehouse and storage management, and supply chains linked to electric vehicle manufacturing.

Academy CEO Abdulaziz Al-Yousef said the academy designs its programmes around the needs of the labour market and promising sectors in the Kingdom, and that the partnership with Lucid continues that approach by giving Saudi talent the knowledge and practical skills needed for jobs in transport, logistics and supply chains, supporting localisation goals.

Hamad Al-Mousa, Lucid Group's human resources director for the Middle East, said the programme provides the academy with specialised logistics and supply chain skills, adding that the company's role goes beyond training Saudi staff for its AMP-2 factory to preparing highly qualified Saudis to lead the future of the automotive industry and sustainable transport in the Kingdom.

The agreement is part of the academy's efforts to build partnerships with the private sector and develop training programmes tied to employment.
