The National Center for Meteorology issued an alert today for moderate to heavy rain over the Jazan region, accompanied by very strong winds that may reduce horizontal visibility to almost zero, as well as hail, flash floods and thunderstorms with lightning.

The alert covers Jazan city and the governorates of Al-Harth, Al-Dayer (Bani Malik), Al-Reeth, Al-Aridah, Al-Idabi, Fifa, Haroob, Al-Tuwal, Samtah, Ahad Al-Masarihah, Abu Arish, Damad, Sabya, Al-Darb and Baish, as well as Al-Fatiha centre and the Farasan Islands.

According to the center, the conditions are expected to continue until 9 pm.
