Najran University has kept its spot among the top 1,000 universities worldwide, placing in the 801–1,000 band of the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2027. This year's table assessed 2,797 universities around the globe.

The result points to steady academic and research progress at the university and to its growing competitiveness in international rankings. It follows sustained work to raise teaching quality, back research and innovation, and make the institution more efficient.

Through these efforts, the university aims to improve its academic and research performance indicators and meet its institutional excellence targets, in line with its strategic direction to strengthen its standing in higher education at home and abroad.
