The Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen has carried out a precision military operation to neutralise vital resources sustaining the war effort of the terrorist Houthi group, its official spokesman, Major General Turki Al-Malki, announced. He said the coalition's Joint Forces Command had established that the group was exploiting civilian objects for that purpose.

The targets, according to Al-Malki, included the Al-Sabaha central station in Sanaa, underground reserve fuel depots, fuel tanks, and piers used to move and offload fuel in Hodeidah, Sanaa and Dhamar. He said the “terrorist Houthi militia” had turned these sites entirely to the service of its military activity, denying Yemenis resources that should legitimately go toward meeting their needs.

The spokesman said the facilities fed the arsenal of missiles and drones that threatens Saudi Arabia and the safety of airports, ports and merchant ships in the Red Sea, and had demonstrably contributed both to hostile attacks on civilians and civilian objects and to the planning of imminent attacks on civilian targets in the Kingdom and on commercial shipping in international waterways.

The operation therefore concentrated on neutralising the capabilities the group uses to threaten the Kingdom, Yemen, the southern Red Sea and waterways, Al-Malki said. He stressed the coalition's strict commitment to international humanitarian law and said feasible precautions had been taken during planning and execution to avoid incidental harm to civilians.

“The Houthis must immediately stop all terrorist operations targeting civilians and civilian objects, including airports, ports, oil facilities and infrastructure,” he said.
