The General Authority of the Shura Council held its third meeting of the third year of the council's ninth term to consider the items on its agenda. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Speaker Dr. Mishaal bin Fahm Al-Sulami and attended by Assistant Speaker Dr. Hanan bint Abdulrahim Al-Ahmadi, Secretary-General Mohammed bin Dakhil Al-Mutairi and the chairs of the council's specialized committees.

The authority approved referring 18 items to the agenda of the council's forthcoming sessions. They include the annual reports of the Special Economic Zones Center in Riyadh, Umm Al-Qura University, Jazan University, the University of Jeddah, the Al-Masar Al-Riyadi Foundation and the Global Academy of Tourism, as well as draft laws to be put before the council.

The authority also agreed to refer a number of draft memorandums of understanding, cooperation memorandums and agreements in various fields with several brotherly and friendly countries.
