Saudi Arabia will be represented at the 21st International Standards Olympiad 2026, taking place in Goyang, Republic of Korea, from August 12 to 14 with 13 participating countries.
The Saudi team is made up of 12 middle and secondary school students split into four teams. They were chosen and trained through a full qualification programme run jointly by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), the Ministry of Education and the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO).
Held every year in Korea since 2006, the Olympiad seeks to build awareness of standards, metrology and quality among middle and secondary school students and to encourage them to share fresh ideas on standards and modern technology.
