Teacher professional development is a central pillar of Saudi Arabia's drive toward a future-ready education model, according to a new Oxford Business Group report produced in partnership with the Ministry of Education that examines the structural changes under way in the sector.

The report says the Kingdom has moved from high-level strategy to implementation across the whole system under Saudi Vision 2030 and the Human Capability Development Program. It points to updated curricula, better governance, fair access and the contribution of specialist bodies to building human capital.

It identifies the National Institute for Educational Professional Development as the main national body for raising educators' skills. The institute is moving professional growth away from one-off workshops toward continuous programs tied to real classroom needs and modern teaching methods.

Through sustainable career paths and global benchmarks adapted to the local setting, the institute is widening its initiatives and partnerships to improve teaching quality and prepare generations for the Kingdom's future.
