To mark World Space Week, the AlUla Manara team of the Royal Commission for AlUla has staged a series of events and activities as part of its educational and cultural programmes on astronomy and space science.

Held at several locations across the governorate, the activities give visitors and enthusiasts of all backgrounds a chance to learn about the sky and the stars through a variety of experiences.

Specialists and amateur astronomers from Saudi Arabia and abroad shared their experience and educational material, linking scientific knowledge with the cultural heritage of watching the night sky.

By taking part in international days and weeks, the team aims to spread awareness of space science and technology and its benefits to human life, raise scientific literacy and introduce the astronomical knowledge handed down through generations.
